Senator Loretta Weinberg is the first prime Senate sponsor of Monica’s Law.  She has been a strong voice against domestic violence for her entire legislative career. She has passed laws protecting victims against discrimination from insurance companies and establishing the Domestic Violence Fatality and Near Fatality Review Board. She is a founding member of Shelter Our Sisters, a domestic violence victim service and advocacy organization.
